Post Reflection
Overall, I enjoyed the book a lot. I did however not like the ending. It gave a real look on how things are in life. And I feel some people are ready to see that not everything is suppose to happen no matter how much you think it would. The book does not hold anything back. It gives you hope and the idea Charlie has a chance but comes to reality that that's not gonna happen. You will experience many emotions during this book. It's hard to categorize this book as one type of book. You see it as a comedy, romance and science fiction book. To describe this book in one word is very hard. But I think I have the answer, ambivalent, meaning having many emotions. Many people who have read the book would agree with me, you feel too many emotions to say you are happy with the book. Once you read the book you will realize what I mean and most likely agree with me. You feel like you are living in the world of Charlie Gordon with how it's written. I started to actually believe this book was real and I was cheering Charlie on. You become hooked on the hope of this operation working. In the end of the book I learned not even the things you wish for most are always going to happen. I predict most readers will see this too, Daniel Keyes does a great way of showing us how the world really works. Even with the book being over 300 pages, I couldn't put it down. You feel the need to finish every page and know what Charlie experiences and learns. I would recommend this book to anyone. It's a great read and I would say it's worth the time to read.
